According to The Xinhua News Agency, Changchun metro line 1 was officially in trial operation on June 30, and the subway train named "Little Snow Leopard" began to carry passengers. This new red and white subway train can not only "endure" low temperature of minus 35 degrees Celsius, but also is the lightest
aluminum alloy subway train in China now.
Design manager of CRRC Corporation Limited whose name is Huixue Xu said that "Little Snow Leopard" adopts various cold resistance and antifreezing technologies, doors and window glasses filled with argon and outer window glasses coated with insulation films; cavities of aluminum profiles subway train body have heat insulators; there are Insulation materials between the subway train body's structure and passenger rooms; coupled with electric heating devices under the seats, it is warm in the subway train in winter, just like in spring.
"Little Snow Leopard" is not only cold resistant, but also has a very light subway train body, which can effectively reduce its traction energy consumption. The energy consumption of air conditioning system can also be greatly reduced because of adopting high-performance heat insulation design, frequency conversion and heat pump technologies.
The energy of the subway train can also be sent back to the power grid to be reused and reduce energy loss. "Little Snow Leopard" is fully made of environmentally friendly and recycled materials, and most of the internal metal parts of the subway train can be recycled.
When it comes to the safety of the subway train, "Little Snow Leopard" can reach the highest standard of the current domestic subway trains. It is equipped with coupler buffer, anticreeper devices, etc., utilizes upgraded system technologies and had gone through system and rainfall tests before delivery. Huixue Xu said that "Little Snow Leopard" can ensure passengers' safety when a crash happens in the relative speed of 25 kilometers per hour.
